April 5, 2013- The Parent/Student Portal will be down Fri April 12th from 11am-1pm for maintenance.
We will be back online at 1pm. At that time, WMS & BHS report cards will be made available for viewing through the Parent Portal.
April 4, 2013- HOW TO UPDATE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE PARENT PORTAL
Step 1 - Log into The Parent Portal and click ACCOUNT PREFERENCES. In the section for your Email, click in the box where your current email is located. Remove the old email and type in a new email address. Click Save when finished.
Step 2 - Click DEMOGRAPHIC UPDATE from the menu on the left. Locate your old Email. Enter your new Email in the box to the right and click Submit on the bottom of the page. Your student's school will receive a notification of your "pending update" and will then update the database.
March 20, 2013 - The PowerSchool Parent/Student Portal will re-open today at 1pm.
March 18, 2013- The Parent/Student Portal will be down Wed March 20th from 8am-noon for maintenance.
We will be back online at noon. At that time, CES & HHES student report cards will be made available for viewing through the Parent Portal.
March 12, 2013 - Do students and parents see the same PowerSchool screens?
Parents can view and update Demographic and Emergency contact information. Also, parents can sign up to receive email notifications. Students cannot see those screens or receive email notifications through the portal.
March 11, 2013 - ATTENTION New Brookfield Public School Parents -
You will receive a letter in the mail, from your child's school, which contains directions and the Access Id & Access Password which are necessary to set up your Power School login.
Feb 21, 2013 - PowerSchool for Parent App appears to Sync Successfully, however displays 'No Activity' or student data is not updated.
Pearson has identified this as an application defect and the issue is currently under investigation. The district will be notified when the defect is addressed.
Feb 14, 2013 - IPAD & IPHONE MOBILE APP NOT PROPERLY DISPLAYING END OF TERM GRADES - Currently looking into the app issue with the Pearson development team. I will update you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.
Feb 12, 2013- AFTER THE RECENT SYSTEM EMAIL UPDATE (Feb 4), SOME PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE STILL NOT RECEIVING PORTAL EMAILS.
We have been working with Pearson to further investigate and resolve this issue. This morning we added a system update patch to the PowerSchool Portal Email system.
Feb 10, 2013 - Why am I receiving the error messsage - "Student has not been added to your account. Valid Student information must be entered."
You have entered an incorrect Access ID or Access Password. Verify that you're using the proper Access ID and Access Password. Keep in mind that the Access information for Parents is different than the Portal User Name/Password utilized by students. Verify that you're using the proper alphanumeric characters in your Access ID and Access Password. As an example, check that the character is a number one versus an uppercase letter I, and/or uppercase letter O versus a number zero. All credentials are case sensitive, such as the Access ID, Access Password, as well as the User Name and Password.
Feb 5 , 2013 - EDIT or REVIEW YOUR PARENT PORTAL EMAIL ADDRESS
Parent/Guardians-Please verify that your correct email address is listed in the Parent Portal.
The ACCOUNT PREFERENCES page in the portal provides you with the ability to manage your parent/guardian account information. Here you can change your username, password and email address.
Feb 4, 2013 - PARENTS PREVIOUSLY RECEIVING AUTO EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS - RECENTLY STOPPED RECEIVNG THEM
PowerSchool email services were upgraded yesterday which fixed the system problem.
PARENT MOBILE APP
The parent mobile app is working on the iPhone iOS 6 but not the iPad iOS 6. This release is not supporting the iPad iOS 6. Pearson is currently working on a fix. We are waiting for the next release of the parent app for iPad.
EMAIL ADDRESSES & PHONE NUMBERS ON FILE
Your child's school can communicate school information to you via phone and email services. To make sure your child's school has the most up to date contact information, login to your student's PowerSchool account and click on the Demographic Update /Emergency Update link on the left. Please review and update the information if necessary. Also, when updating your Email address, remember to update it on the Account Preferences page too.
