BHS PowerSchool Parent/Student portals will be down  from 10:00-noon while we import BHS S1 report cards.

The PowerSchool Parent Portal email notification system will be down from 4pm today until tomorrow evening while we perform system upgrades.

PowerSchool  Parent Portal will be down from 11:30am until  1:30pm  for maintenance. We will be back online at 1:30pm.  At that time, WMS Q1 report cards will be made available for viewing through the Parent Portal.

After 7.9 upgrade parents are receiving a 404 error when trying to access the School bull
etin in the parent portal.
Issue currently under investigation.     Oct 18,2013 - Issue was resolved.

PowerSchool will be down the evening of Tuesday, October 8, from 6 p.m. until 12 a.m. (midnight) for a software upgrade. Access to PowerSchool resumes once the upgrade is completed.

There is a known issue with the PowerSchool Mobile App.
Before the first day of school "Last years data was being displayed . " 
Currently by the mobile application's design the previous school years information will display up until the 1st day of the new school year term.  2013-2014's first day was 8/26/2013, then that is the date the mobile app switched over. 

We are submitting an enhancement request to Pearson to have the ability to designate what school year term shows up within the mobile application.

Receiving Emails from the Schools.
School Reach - Email system used by administrators to communicate with parents and guardians.  Parent/Guardian email addresses listed on the student's Demographic page will receive the emails sent.
Parent Portal Email Notifications- Users of the Parent Portal have the option to have the portal automatically email student reports based on selection.  Visit the Email Notification page in the Parent Portal to set this up. To change the email address for the Portal Email Notifications, go to the ACCOUNT PREFERENCES page in the portal.
****YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS HAS CHANGED  --PLEASE REMEMBER to change it on the Demographic page and Account Preference page.

1. Parents are receiving the following message when trying to log into the parent portal.
Cannot sign in due to server error.  Please contact your server's administrator.
To avoid this issue it is recommended that when a parent/guardian session is completed, that the user clicks "Sign Out" to close the session.  Finishing the web session by closing the browser, sending the computer to sleep and/or attempting to login from another browser or another computer without signing out the first session can trigger this issue.   RESOLUTION--The "Mass" user resolution to this issue was to restart the server, which was done at 3:45pm today.  Parents have commented that they are not seeing the error anymore.

 2. There is a known issue with the PowerSchool Mobile App.
"Last years data is being displayed . "  Pearson is currently working to resolve this issue.

PowerSchool Parent /Student Portal will open after 3pm today.

July 22, 2013 
PowerSchool 'web & mobile' access is now disabled for ---TEACHERS, STUDENTS and PARENTS.  During this time, we are performing system upgrades.   PowerTeacher will become available on Aug 14.   The Parent/Student portal will be available on Aug 15.

The Parent/Student portal will close July 19th for maintenance.  The portal will re-open August 15th.

June 25, 2013 
The Parent/Student portal will be down today at 11:30am for maintenance. We will be back online after 2pm. At that time WMS & BHS report cards will be available for viewing.

The Parent/Student portal will be down today at 11am for maintenance.  We will be back online after 1pm. At that time, CES & HHES report cards and assessment letters will be available for viewing.

iPhone/iPad Mobile APP  Not Working Properly ...UPDATE 

The PowerSchool Parent & Student iPhone and iPad APP are now working properly.  All data is  syncing and parent accounts display all associated students.    A product defect was identified and a work around was installed.

  iPhone/iPad Mobile APP  Not Working Properly ...UPDATE  - 
Pearson has escalated  the case to Tier 3  for additional review of a possible application defect.

An "Unknown Error" is occurring when a parent  tries to access the Parent Mobile App on the iPhone.  Also, students are not associated to account.  The issue has been reported to Pearson and currently under investigation.

The  Parent/Student Portal will be down Fri April 12th from 11am-1pm for maintenance.
We will be back online at 1pm. At that time, WMS & BHS report cards will be made available for viewing through the Parent Portal.

Step 1 - Log into The Parent Portal and click ACCOUNT PREFERENCES. In the section for your Email, click in the box where your current email  is located. Remove the old email and type in a new email address. Click Save when finished.


Step 2 - Click DEMOGRAPHIC UPDATE from the menu on the left.  Locate your old Email. Enter your new Email in the box to the right and click Submit on the bottom of the page.  Your student's school will receive a notification of your "pending update" and will then update the database.

The  Parent/Student Portal will be down Wed March 20th from 8am-noon for maintenance.
We will be back online at noon. At that time, CES & HHES student report cards will be made available for viewing through the Parent Portal.

Do students and parents see the same PowerSchool screens?
Parents can view and update Demographic and Emergency contact information. Also, parents can sign up to receive email notifications. Students cannot see those screens or receive email notifications through the portal.

 New Brookfield Public School Parents -
You will receive a letter in the mail, from your child's school, which contains directions and the Access Id & Access Password which are necessary to set up your Power School  login.

PowerSchool for Parent App appears to Sync Successfully, however displays 'No Activity' or student data is not updated.
Pearson has identified this as an application defect and the issue is currently under investigation.  The district will be notified when the defect is addressed.

We have been working with Pearson to further investigate and resolve this issue. This morning we added a system update patch to the PowerSchool Portal Email system.

Why am I receiving the error messsage - 
"Student has not been added to your account. Valid Student information must be entered." 
You have entered an incorrect Access ID or Access Password. Verify that you're using the proper Access ID and Access Password. Keep in mind that the Access information for Parents is different than the Portal User Name/Password utilized by students. Verify that you're using the proper alphanumeric characters in your Access ID and Access Password. As an example, check that the character is a number one versus an uppercase letter I, and/or uppercase letter O versus a number zero. All credentials are case sensitive, such as the Access ID, Access Password, as well as the User Name and Password.

Parent/Guardians-Please verify that your correct email address is listed in the Parent Portal.

The ACCOUNT PREFERENCES page in the portal provides you with the ability to manage your parent/guardian account information.  Here you can change your username, password and email address.

PowerSchool email services were upgraded yesterday which fixed the system problem. 

The parent mobile app is working on the iPhone iOS 6 but not the iPad iOS 6. This release is not supporting the iPad iOS 6. Pearson is currently working on a fix. We are waiting for the next release of the parent app for iPad.

Your child's school can communicate school information  to you via phone and email services. To make sure your child's school has the most up to date contact information, login to your student's PowerSchool account and click on the Demographic Update /Emergency Update link on the left.   Please review and update the information if necessary. Also, when updating your Email address, remember to update it on the Account Preferences page too.
