The clinic is staffed with two Registered Nurses during normal school hours. Records are maintained concerning physical examinations, accidents, and visits to the clinic. The clinic staff provides health supervision and instruction and takes appropriate action in case of student illness and accidents occurring during the school day. The clinic staff should be informed of any health problems, such as handicaps, allergies, chronic diseases, medications, etc.
Students, while on school property, are not to have mediation of any kind (prescription or over-the-counter) in their possession. When medication is absolutely necessary, it will be administered to the student by the clinic staff following receipt of a signed order from a physician and written parental permission. Medication forms can be obtained in the clinic.
