Dr. Meyer Glaser, the Center Elementary School School Psychologist, will be presenting a webinar for parents and guardians on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 6:30pm . This webinar will focus on providing creative ways for parents and guardians to motivate their children during these times of change.  Within that topic, Dr. Glaser will touch on social reinforcement, rewards, individual student progression, in addition to, how to support your children with academic challenges without doing their work for them.  This webinar will be approximately 60 minutes long with an opportunity for questions at the end of the presentation.
 
Michelle Fico, Huckleberry Elementary Social Worker and Elise Desimone, Huckleberry Hill Elementary School School Psychologist, will be presenting a webinar for parents and guardians on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 6:30pm . This webinar will focus on a general description of what ADHD is and how it impacts students-specifically in this digital age. Parents and guardians will be informed on different ways to support children with ADHD and learn new strategies that can be implemented at home. This webinar can also apply to any parent who feels their child is struggling with attentional issues.This webinar will be approximately 60 minutes long with an opportunity for questions at the end of the presentation.

Joseph D. Kowalczyk, Coordinator of Transition Services from EdAdvance, who also consults with the Brookfield High School Special Education Team will be presenting a webinar for parents and guardians on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 6:30. This webinar will focus on providing parents and students knowledge of building capacity to confidently participate in the transition process. What is the transition process? Transition is not a related service; it is front and center to the educational process.  What does this look like? How does staff determine if a student has mastered their core transition skills?  What are the common core transition skills? How are IEPs developed through a transition lens? By attending this training parents, guardians, and students will build the capacity to confidently participate in the transition process. This webinar will be approximately 60 minutes long with an opportunity for questions at the end of the presentation.
