ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL TIMES

UPDATE J - FOR IN PERSON 100%  - BEGINNING NOVEMBER 9th

Dear Families,

DISMISSAL

In order to accommodate all the families who are picking up their children from school during dismissal and simultaneously balance the needs of families who have children at both Huckleberry Hill and Center School, the following minor dismissal time adjustments are being made across each elementary school. Please know that arrival times remain the same at both elementary schools.

  • For parents/guardians of children in Cohort A please pick up your child at Center Elementary School between 2:55 p.m. and 3:10 p.m.  For parents/guardians of children in Cohort A at Huckleberry Hill Elementary School, please pick up your child between 3:10 p.m. and 3:25 p.m.  This procedure will help ease traffic congestion while also accommodating families who need to pick up children at both elementary schools.

  • For parents/guardians of children in Cohort B please pick up your child at Huckleberry Hill Elementary School between at 2:55 p.m. and 3:10 p.m.  For parents/guardians of children in Cohort B at Center Elementary School, please pick up your child between 3:10 p.m. and 3:25 p.m.  This procedure will help ease traffic congestion while also accommodating families who need to pick up children at both elementary schools.

Please note: Parents/guardians whose students are assigned to the 3:10-3:25 p.m. pick-up time MAY NOT arrive at the school prior to 3:10 p.m. as students will not be prepared to exit the school until 3:10 p.m. Parents/guardians who arrive early will be asked to leave the lot and circle back around through the pick-up line at the appropriate time.

A communication will be forthcoming from Mrs. Dymond and Mrs. Labrosciano regarding the details of dismissal procedures for CES and HHES respectively.

ARRIVAL

The time will not change for those parents dropping off their children at school. However, the Brookfield Police Department is making an adjustment on the entrance to HHES from  Candlewood Lake Rd.  Parents are asked to turn right into HHES as they head south down Candlewood Lake Rd. Left hand turns will not be permitted by the Brookfield Police Department.

Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we adjust to this change.

Sincerely,

Dr. John W. Barile, Superintendent
