League of Women Voters

Dear Brookfield Resident,

The League of Women Voters of Brookfield welcomes you and your child to our fine schools.  The League of Women Voters would like to offer two specific suggestions that will help you have a voice in your child’s school experience.  The first: keep as informed as possible on school issues through communication from the schools, consultation with the Board of Education and PTO website, and articles in the local press.  The second: voice your opinion on local budget and government through your vote at the polls.  In order to vote, you must be registered in Brookfield.  Enclosed are two Voter Registration Forms.  If one is an extra, feel free to pass it along to a friend or neighbor.  Additional forms are available from the Registrar’s Office.

You may return the completed form to the school with your child’s registration packet.  Or you can bring the form to the Registrar's Office at Town Hall on Pocono Road.  Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  You can also mail the completed form to: Registrar of Voters, Brookfield Town Hall, P.O. Box 5106, Brookfield, CT  06804.  Any Brookfield resident who is a United States citizen and is 18 years old is qualified to register to vote.  Proof of identity, age and residence is required at the time of registration.  Connecticut does not permit direct electronic voter registration.

Remember, you must be registered to vote in Brookfield.  Make sure your voice is heard!

Sincerely,

Marge Davidson, President
Brookfield League of Women Voters
