National Language Contest

Any student currently taking Spanish and/or French class is going to have the opportunity this Spring to participate in the National Spanish and/or the National French contests.

What are they?
The National Language Contests are national, motivational contests to recognize student achievement in the study of Spanish and French, and to stimulate further interest in the teaching and learning of French and Spanish.

Why take them?
Not only is this an amazing opportunity to stand out for future college/career opportunities, but.....

Students with outstanding scores on the National Spanish and/or French Contests are recognized as follows:

  • Gold medal - students scoring at or above the 95th percentile.
  • Silver medal - students scoring from the 85th through the 94th percentiles.
  • Bronze medal - students scoring from the 75th through the 84th percentiles.
  • Honorable Mention - students scoring from the 50th through the 74th percentiles.
  • Participation- students scoring up to the 49th percentile

Depending on scores, students can be eligible for SCHOLARSHIPS!!!!

At the conclusion of the 2017-2018 school year, the medal recipients of the BHS graduating class of 2018 proudly wore their medals as they received their diplomas.
